Greencastle High School students in the Environmental Science Club recently volunteered their time to do some river cleanup along the Big Walnut. The group didn't mind getting a little dirt on their clothes Saturday while loading a large dump truck with trash and fallen tree limbs. Students in the group were Clint Maddox, Fred Soster, Nate Peck, Erick Norlin, Cheyanne Maddox, John Garner, Cheyenne Fauvergue, Maria Brown, Hannah Wainman, Ashley Holmes, Brad Kingma, Adam Peck, Ryan Payne and Cameron Cash. This was the fourth annual river cleanup done by the club.

  • That's wonderful work! Is it really true that the school board is actually considering removing the Environmental Science class at GHS? That would be a big mistake.
