At the annual stockholder's meeting of the North Salem State Bank, Deedee Daniel was elected to the Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Daniel is a lifelong resident of Hendricks County and resides in Plainfield with her husband Mel Daniel.

Daniel recently retired as executive director of the Hendricks County Community Foundation. She was the first executive director, and during her tenure the Community Foundation grew from $10,000 in assets to more than $8 million.

Daniel believes strongly in collaboration between local philanthropic organizations and businesses to accomplish good things for Hendricks, Putnam, Montgomery, and surrounding counties. She also believes that community banks can best serve the community in which they operate.
