Putnam County Jail

Clay J. Berry, 19, no city listed, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 12:15 a.m. Friday for theft.

Anthony M. Cox, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 2:22 p.m. Monday for battery on a child.

Tyrone Goebel, 36, no city listed, was booked at 2:43 p.m. Monday for violation of probation.

Robert Howard, 50, Cloverdale, was booked at 10:45 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with prior, public intoxication and being a habitual traffic violator.

Kyle A. McCammon, 22, Cloverdale, was booked at 2 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Paul N. Parker, 34, Ladoga, was booked at 9 p.m. Friday on a warrant out of Montgomery County.

Whitney N. Richards, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 12:42 a.m. Sunday on a warrant out of Johnson County.

Benjamin D. Robinson, 21, Bloomington, was booked at 9:30 a.m. Friday for violation of probation.

Christopher D. Hunter, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 9:17 p.m. Monday for theft and violation of probation.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

A witness spotted Nicholas T. Archer II of Cloverdale "doing donuts in a red pickup truck in an ag field" on CR 925E at 2:16 a.m. Sunday. The witness attempted to stop Archer, who "fled" northbound on 925.

During the pursuit, Archer lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway before rolling it several times and coming to rest on its passenger side.

Archer later stated he thought he was being chased by law enforcement and was attempting to flee. He was cited for speeding and consumption of alcohol by a minor. Steele's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle and there was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Daniel E. Bell of Terre Haute was traveling on US 40W at 6:08 a.m. Monday, when his vehicle struck a deer. Mike's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Jason D. Collier of Reelsville was traveling north on CR 800W near Reelsville at 6:41 a.m. Monday, when he swerved to avoid an animal in the road causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike the edge of a bridge.

Collier complained of pain in his hip and chest. Operation Life transported him to Putnam County Hospital. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Gregory E. Carrison of Cloverdale approached the intersection at US 231S near Cloverdale at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, when he pulled into the path of a vehicle operated by Alyssa A. Franklin of Cloverdale.

There were no injuries reported and was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene.

Michael Salverson of Greencastle was traveling west on US 40E at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, when he failed to notice a slow-moving vehicle operated by Dale Hodgdon traveling west with its hazard lights on.

Salverson attempted to brake, but lost control of his vehicle. It rolled several times before it came to rest inverted in a ditch. Salverson stated at the time of the crash, he was looking behind him to attempt to change lanes. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Police Department

The following tickets have been issued by GPD:

Jamychel E. Hirsch, 19, Newkirk, Okla., was stopped on Wood Street at 8:10 p.m. Thursday and cited for false or fictitious registration and driving with a suspended license.

Luke Beasley, 22, Muncie, was stopped on Locust Street at 10:04 p.m. Thursday and cited for expired license plate.

Dustin Rusbarsky, 21, High Ridge, Mo., was stopped on College Street at 9:50 p.m. Saturday and cited for wrong way on a one-way street.

Paul Mullins, 51, Greencastle, was stopped on Tennessee Street at 9:46 p.m. Sunday and cited for driving with a suspended license.

The following accident has been reported by GPD:

Riley Turner, 19, Greencastle, was traveling east on Indianapolis Road at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, when his vehicle struck the back of a vehicle operated by Kim Overton, 46, Roachdale, which was attempting to turn into the parking lot of Kroger. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 1010 Mill Pond Lane at 12:30 a.m. Saturday for a lift assist. They were back in service at 1:05 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Greencastle Post Office at 1:28 a.m. Sunday to assist Greencastle Police Department with a lady who fell. They were back in service at 1:35 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. at 12:06 p.m. Sunday for an active alarm. They were disregarded en route and back in service at 12:10 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 108 Autumn Glenn Drive at 4:20 a.m. Monday for a lift assist. They were back in service at 4:42 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 602 S. College Ave. at 5:08 p.m. Monday for a smoke scare. Upon arrival, crews found light smoke due to a faulty fan motor. They were back in service at 5:40 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 212 W. Franklin St. at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday for an active alarm. Nothing was found and they were back in service at 9:38 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Kroger, 821 Indianapolis Road at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday to provide manpower for Operation Life. They were back in service at 4:10 p.m.
