Putnam County Jail

Francis T. Dare, 20, New Carroll, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 1:50 a.m. Friday for resisting law enforcement.

David D. Day, 46, Eminence, was booked at 10:44 p.m. Thursday on a warrant from Boone County.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Timothy D. Sult of Loogootee, operating a 1996 International, was traveling on US 231S at 1 p.m. Thursday, as he attempted to pass a vehicle operated by Wayne M. Lewis of Greencastle making a left turn. Sult's tractor-trailer struck the side of Lewis' Ford F-150 truck.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Lewis' vehicle. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Clara L. Inman of Coatesville was driving a mail-delivery vehicle at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, when she pulled in front of a vehicle operated by Donald L. Troy of Rockville on Falmouth Court in Bainbridge. Inman's vehicle struck the right fender of Troy's boat trailer.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 109 W. Hanna St. at 6:17 p.m. Thursday for an alarm. They were disregarded before leaving the station and back in service at 6:19 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1145 Horseshoe Drive at 1:09 a.m. Friday for a smoke detector activation. They were back in service at 1:45 a.m.
