  • I can not afford to buy local because the prices are too high.

  • Some local businesses get it and are priced competitively. Some are still taking advantage of being the "only game in town" and are gouging what few customers they have left. These businesses need to know that most of us are paying attention and buying elsewhere whenever possible.

  • One place with surprisingly reasonable prices for the type of merchandise is Craftmakers 2 - I've seen their ads & tried them out - neat store & they often have specials or coupons/flyers for discounts

  • Even our local Wal-Mart forces my family to shop out of town. The Wal-Mart at Crawfordsville carries far more items than Greencastle. What I cannot get in Crawfordsville I travel monthly to Mjier at Avon. Unless it is a weekly special there is no way I can afford to shop at Krogers. For fresh cut meat you cannot beat the quality and prices of Value Market in Cloverdale. These have been comments on grocery and staple items but for shoes and clothes we have no place to shop so we travel to Terre Haute to Macy's and Khol's for good prices, selection and quality.
