Dogs up for adoption Saturday

The Humane Society of Putnam County will host its monthly dog adoptions from noon to 5 p.m. July 24 at Kroger on Indianapolis Road.

In addition, there will be adoptable dogs through the Humane Society at Greencastle's farmer's market downtown from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays from July 24 to Aug. 7.

Pantry aims to feed those in need today

Whitestone Food Pantry will have a food distribution from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the pantry, located at 8045 W. U.S. 36, Coatesville.

Distribution is geared to needy residents in Floyd Township in Putnam County and Marion Township in Hendricks County. Recipients must provide government-issued photo ID as well as a current utility bill or other form of ID.

P.E.O. meeting set for July 26

P.E.O. Chapter CB will meet on July 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Carol Krag.
