Thursday, August 5, 2010

GREENCASTLE -- The Putnam County Museum will hold a sale of a variety of locally grown mums from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 21 at the museum's location at 1105 N Jackson Street.

There will also be numerous activities and shows. Putnam County flint knappers, spinners, weavers, and folklorists will showcase their work and entertain throughout

the fundraiser.

Attendees will be able to catch a ride on horse drawn wagons, purchase kettle corn and do much more while enjoying the show of beautiful mums.

This is the second year for the mum sale. The last year's proceeds benefited the summer children's program and the round barn.

Proceeds from the mum sale will be used to fund future exhibits and programs at the museum. Pre-order your mums today by calling 653-8419, or stop by the museum to fill out the form.
