Reader thankful for Rally for the Cure success

To the Editor,

The Rally for the Cure golf scramble sponsored by the Ladies Golf Association of Windy Hill raised a total of $937 that was donated to the Susan B. Komen Foundation to help fight breast cancer.

The team of Shannon Evans, Joanie Earl, Marla Corbin and Cindy Hendricks tied with the team of Mary Watts, Jill Vietor and Karen Glock for first place. Other winners were Kathy Bridgewater who was closest to the pin, Peggy Wood for longest putt and Sandy Allen for closest to the line.

The committee wants to thank Dick Wells of Hillside Orchids and Eitels Flowers for their generous donations. This is an annual event that is open to all lady golfers.
