Tuesday night the Tiger Cubs traveled to Monrovia for their season opener and shut out the Bulldogs 7-0.

Five minutes into the game, Sophomore Evan Smith passed the ball to Junior Sonney Basham for the first goal. Smith was able to score next unassisted.

With five minutes left in the half Junior Mitchell Ball was able to blast a shot past Monrovia's keeper to cap off the first half action.

GHS started off the second half right where they left off, as Basham found senior Spencer Moore for the fourth goal.

Ball, Smith, and Junior Brandon Query finished the game with unassisted goals.

The Cubs showed a lot of confidence in their conference opener and will travel to Lebanon on Thursday for junior varsity and varsity games.
