Gerald Scobee

Gerald R. Scobee, 65, of Reelsville passed away on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

He was born on June 27, 1945 in Putnam County to Herschel O. and Imogene (Arnold) Scobee.

He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Fenwick and husband Gary, Kristi Wood and husband Rick, Kara Carroll and husband Paul and Renetta Johnson and husband Ryan; his mother Imogene Scobee; his sisters, Sue Duncan and husband Richard and Lesa Snedegar and husband Gary; his brother, Danny Scobee and wife Cindy; his grandchildren, Kimberlyn Fenwick, Brittaney Wood, Rickie Lynn Wood, Kylea Carroll, Johnathan (Ridge) Carroll, Cameryn Carroll, David Johnson, Kaydence Sharp and Logan Johnson; Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and the Indiana Air National Guard. He retired from the Indiana Air National Guard at Hulman Field, after 32 years, at the rank of Master Sergeant and had been a jet engine mechanic.

He was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church, Temple Lodge No. 47, F & A M, Greencastle, Terre Haute Valley of The Scottish Rite, Zorah Temple of a. a. O. M. S., Terre Haute and American Legion Post No. 47, Greencastle.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic Memorial Services will be held on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Fillmore Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel O. Scobee and grandson, Tanner Fenwick.
