Tiger Cubs place third Monday

The Greencastle girls' golf team finished third Monday in its match against Plainfield and Danville. Plainfield won with a score of 167, with Danville coming in second with 186 and Greencastle was third with 195.

Katie Hedge led the Tiger Cubs with a 42, while Chelsea Samuels finished with a 46. Diane Wokoun shot a 52, Kay Wood a 55 and McKenzie St. Marie shot a 60.

"There was a lot of good tonight as Katie and Kay shot their career best and Kenzie her season best for a nine hole match," GHS head coach Brad Kingma said. "However, if we're going to beat teams like Danville and Plainfield, we need to have everyone playing well and that didn't happen as Chelsea and Diane had some struggles."
