County needs to fix roads

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

If we can't get all the holes to Greencastle from 350N to 900W, can we get the county line repaired out to Highway 36 so we can shop in Crawfordsville? One neighbor called the county and was told if he didn't like it, maybe he should move!

  • O.K. Banner people, I usually don't complain about your articles but this time I just don't get it. My English Teacher would have given me an F if I was to turn this in for a grade. Who, what, where, when, how & why?

  • I HAVE GOT THE SAME RESPONSE FROM THE COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPT. JIM SMITH SAID "I DON'T PAY HIM HIS PAYCHECK SO HE DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO THE ROADS IF HE DON'T WANT TO."

  • I like it short, sweet, and doesn't beat around the bush. While the county government tries to figure out what to do with the annex or fix the courthouse steps so they don't scuff their shoes walking up to their ivory tower,we can't drive down 30% of the roads in this county for fear of blowing out a tire at 5 mph. But all the blame can't go on Jim,he doesn't control our money(the elected officials do).

  • All I have to say is let a city or county offical call in with a pot hole in front of thier house and see how fast it gets fixed,or for that matter the Depauw president!
