* Aug. 24, 9:58 p.m.: Keegan Remsburg, 17, Greencastle, was traveling west on CR 300S, just west of Hospital Dr., in a 1999 Honda Accord. Remsburg swerved to the right to avoid an oncoming vehicle that was traveling in the middle of the road. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a power pole.

Vehicle was towed by Jerry's. Damage estimate $1,001-$2,500.

Sept. 1, 7:05 a.m.: Alarm at 414 S. Indiana St. due to cooking. Cleared at 7:16 a.m.

Greencastle Police Department

* Aug. 30, 6:23 p.m. Ila Hammond, 71, Greencastle, was stopped in traffic southbound on South Bloomington St. waiting to turn into Kentucky Fried Chicken in a 1996 Mercury Sable. Philip R. Troyer, 23, Greencastle, was driving a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria southbound and did not see Hammond's vehicle stop. He was unable to avoid a collision and struck her from behind.

Hammond was transported to Putnam County Hospital for evaluation.

Hamond's vehicle towed by Seniour's. Damage estimate $2,501-$5,000.

Aug. 29, 7:05 a.m.: Eva Carter, 46, Poland, was ticketed on Bloomington St. for 45 mph in a 30.
