GOSPORT -- Area farmers are invited to a no-cost grazing field day on Saturday east of Spencer near the Owen/Monroe County Feeder Auction Barn.

The gathering will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Rob and Nancy Ferguson Farm and will feature a pasture walk with discussion on grazing practices installed on this farm. The field day is open to everyone.

Additionally, Matt Jarvis, NRCS District Conservationist will be available for questions on current grazing programs available through NRCS.

The Ferguson farm is located at 9498 W. Hedrick Rd., Gosport. Signs will direct you to the Ferguson Farm.

Greene, Monroe, Owen and Putnam County Soil & Water Conservation Districts are sponsoring the event.

Light refreshments will be provided. Call your local Soil & Water Conservation to register by Wednesday.
