Eagles down Clovers

The South Putnam seventh grade football team defeated Cloverdale 40-12 Thursday, with the eighth grade team winning 52-8.

Daniel Grundlock had three touchdowns for the Eagles, with Grady McHugh adding one rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion. Grundlock also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Joey Masters had a blocked punt and Chase Albers had a fumble recovery.

In the eighth grade contest, Lucas Lorian had four rushing touchdowns and Dakota Bunton had one rushing touchdown. Zan Yon was 3-for-4 on PAT attempts and Zane Crosby had two two-point conversions.

Josh Tubbs had two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. Bunton also returned an interception for a touchdown.
