The Beech Grove United Methodist Church of Putnam and Park Counties will be having a fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Putnam County Fairgrounds

The fundraiser will feature a dinner, bazaar and auction.

Helen Knauer, one of the event organizers, said last year the event served over 200 people.

"We did pretty well for a little country church," she said.

Dinner will include ham, meatballs, pies and cakes.

Last year, some of the money from the fundraiser helped to put a new roof on the church.

This year, in addition to dinner, there will be a bazaar with a variety of goods including rugs, pillows, aprons, crafts and baked goods. All of the goods that aren't sold will be auctioned, along with two quilts.

Dinner at the fundraiser costs $8 for an adult, $4 for children ages 6 years and older. Dinner is from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the bazaar is from 5 to 7 p.m. and the auction is from 7 to 8 p.m.
