Cloverdale overtaken by Bruins in three sets

LIZTON -- The Cloverdale volleyball team lost to Tri-West in three sets Thursday. The Clovers fell 25-22, 25-13 and 25-14.

"We played well the first set, but made a few mental errors at the end that cost us the set," CHS head coach Kathy Moore said. "In the second and third sets we struggled and just didn't play well. We have to learn that consistency in play is important to team success."

Helping lead the Clovers were Bradanne Toney with seven kills, 10 digs, three blocks, one assist and one point. Holly McCammon added 11 kills, two digs and two points, while Bristy Skiles recorded five assists, four digs and three points.

Taylor Jones had four kills, four digs and one point, with Stacia Shepherd adding eight assists, four digs, two points and one kill. Mariah Oetken contributed four kills, three points and two blocks, while Paige Gruener recorded four digs and one point. Rebekah Jordan had three digs, Casey Lyons had one dig and Adri Patterson had one point.
