GREENCASTLE -- The Putnam County Community Foundation held its 25th Anniversary Celebration on Oct. 2.

The Community Foundation Board and Therese Cunningham State Farm Insurance, as event sponsor, entertained the 210 community members in attendance. The celebration included a $100,000 grant presentation and the first-ever Corinthian Society induction.

At 9:30 a.m., nearly 70 people enjoyed "The Silver Odyssey," a tour of one of four regions of Putnam County.

Darrell Wiatt, Rodger Winger, June Brattain, and John Nees were tour guides on the buses donated by Rural Transit.

Participants learned about the Community Foundation's impact in that area and the county's rich history.

At the end of the tour four people won prizes for achieving high scores on the bus tour quizzes.

Later, dinner guests enjoyed the Randy Salman Jazz Trio sponsored by Duke Energy and signature drinks at the 25th Anniversary Cocktail Reception.

Guests delighted in an exquisite meal and lavish dessert by The Inn at DePauw in the midst of beautiful flowers, silver and crystal decorations.

Legacy Society and Silver Anniversary League donors were also honored and recognized.

Dinner Table Sponsors included State Representative Nancy Michael, Therese Cunningham State Farm Insurance, Wabash Capital, Ivy Tech Foundation, DePauw University, First National Bank, Old National Bank, Tri-County Bank and Trust, Jeff and Denise Sigworth, Steve Aker and Vicki Timm, Anthony and Karen Heavin, John Zeiner, Don and Linda Ruark, and Jinsie Bingham.

Finally, guests enjoyed the After-Party in the Galleria sponsored by Cindy Mattox and Bank of America Home Loans.
