CLINTON -- The North Putnam volleyball team fell to South Vermillion Tuesday night in three games. The Cougars fell 25-17, 25-18 and 25-18.

"The curse is still with us, playing to or below our competition," North Putnam head coach Jill Schreiber said. "This was a long game. We couldn't seem to get in a groove. We played well at times and looked good. Then had some mental errors and in the wrong positions.

"This is a game we should have won, but we came out learning and growing for the week to come. We were working on sectional line-ups and preparing for the sectional competition. I feel confident with the line-ups and feel we can be competitive and come out with a win," she added.
