Bill Anthony, 65, Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 in the VA Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 11, 1945 in Columbus, he was the son of George S. Anthony and Margyl Denman Anthony. He is survived by the love of his life Kelly Knoblett Anthony.

Bill served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for Kroger for 26 years, retiring as store manager. He then worked for Orkin Pest Control as a route technician for 18 years and retired in April 2009. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 972.

His hobbies include fishing, NASCAR, watching football and traveling with his wife.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three children, Renee Brownson and husband Brian of Noblesville, Bob Anthony of Michigan and Bill Anthony and wife Cathy of New Jersey; three stepsons, Andrew Mathies, Adam Mathies and Logan Mathies, all of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren, Brittnee Brashier of Terre Haute, Kaitlin Brashier of Noblesville, Chandler Brownson of Illinois, Noah Anthony of Michigan, Mia Anthony of Michigan, Nathan Anthony of New Jersey and Abigail Anthony of New Jersey; sister Peggy Spencer and husband Clyde of Greencastle; two nephews; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Roselawn Funeral Home. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The Terre Haute VFW Post 972 will perform military rites at graveside.
