  • We will never get results we want if we switch sides every few years. How fickle we voters are! I don't even care which side wins, how about giving them more than a brief window? There are no quick fixes! It took many years to dig the hole, many more than we are willing to give anyone to fix it.

  • Republicans taking over again could be a good thing.. Congrats to all winners, Especially the Sheriff and Prosecutor! Sorry Heritage Lake! Looks like you are going to have to wait at least 4 more years for that bike patrol... Sorry, had to!

  • I agree with VolunteerFF. Everyone is mad at democrats. Take President Obama for example. He is criticized everyday for things not moving at the speed the American public would like it to. It took Bush 8 years to run us into the ground, it's going to take President Obama more than 20 months to fix the damage that was done. It doesn't happen over night and changing political parties because it's not happening at your speed isn't going to solve anything either. I wish people would use their brains more often and look at the big picture!!!

  • Yay, the republicans have control, now the governor can do whatever he wants. Get ready for privatized schools everyone! Can't afford the good ones? Don't worry, we will ship your kids off to the second rate ones that you can afford.

  • Once again, someone makes a ridiculous statement about Bush making a mess, excuse me, isnt mr Obama the one going on a trip to India with 3000 friends that is going to cost the taxpayers 200 million a day? Some people will never get it, just keep living off the government, sell your foodstamps, and go wallow in your sorry existance with a bottle of boones farm !

  • Another good old boy on the North Putnam School board. We were voting them off. We have a few new good ones on the board but ones like this who vote to keep crap in our schools is not what we needed.

  • I agree with you, undercoverbrother.Too many people her in America expect the government to provid for there families! I work in social services and I have to remind people on a daily basis that the government is not set up to support "stay at home parents" or full-time students. Being at home w/your children and furthuring your education are LUXURIES!Americans need to loose this sense of entitlement, you chose to spread your legs before pursuing an education or getting a stable income,DEAL WITH IT!This is the kind of society democrats encourage! I like the Abe Lincoln quote......

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.

You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

    ... Abraham Lincoln

    America, learn from Abe!

  • @undercoverbrother & itsaknownfact- For your information, I do not live off the government in any way shape or form. I do not receive foodstamps nor do I drink any form of alcohol. I am a college educated woman with a 3 year old son and a husband who has had the same great job for many years. We are under 30 years old and we both pay taxes and have never once received any type of assistance from the government. I don't expect anyone to provide for myself or my family except for us, which we do quite well. You shouldn't make such derogatory comments about someone just because we don't share the same views. Also, I do not agree with Obama's 200 million dollar a day trip either. I did vote straight Republican, by the way. So don't blame my opinions assuming I am a democrat. Small town ignorance must be bliss. Remember, Don't Judge, Lest you Be Judged.
