Be on the lookout for cameras: Museum's community photo project open to all
GREENCASTLE -- From Oct. 31 through Saturday, the Putnam County Museum is giving local residents a chance to snap a photo with disposable cameras placed in ten public locations throughout the county. Later, the pictures taken by residents will be displayed in the Museum's upcoming photo exhibit "Putnam County Through the Lens."
"The idea is to give everyone in the community a chance to participate in our 'Through the Lens' exhibit, which is meant to capture and showcase various fun and popular places in the county. With one picture at a time, we will engage local residents who are passionate about the county and photography or just enjoy taking pictures," said Caroline Murphy, the project organizer and assistant director at the Museum.
"We are excited to see the pictures and look forward to opening the exhibit in the near future."
So, if you see a disposable camera as you walk or run around the county -- take your time, capture a moment and make your way into the Museum's next exhibit.
