Roachdale PTO joins schools in signing pledge

ROACHDALE -- At their monthly Parent Teacher Organization meeting Monday, Roachdale Elementary School PTO members had the opportunity to sign the Indiana Department of Education Parent Pledge.

Roachdale Elementary School has joined more than 80 other schools in the state as a pilot school for the Parent Pledge Initiative.

Sponsored by the IDOE and State Superintendent Tony Bennett, this pledge encourages parents to build partnerships with educators to ensure a "strong and ongoing commitment toward the academic development and career success of each child."

Roachdale Elementary's goal is to have all parents sign the pledge and make the commitment to teaming with educators.
