National School Lunch Week was local success

Friday, November 5, 2010

To the Editor:

The Greencastle High School cafeteria staff would like to thank the many local businesses that gave generous donations of prizes given in daily drawings during National School Lunch Week.

The purpose of National School Lunch Week is to showcase the importance of a healthy, balanced diet. We thought we could get some new students to come to the cafeteria to eat if we did something special. The generosity of these local businesses made all of these drawings possible.

It is refreshing that the businesses within our local community continue to value our students and gave awesome prizes, even during the hard economic times we are currently in, and we want to recognize them for all the support.

We were able to give away numerous prizes daily and the students were most appreciative.

Thank you to the Following: Aaron's, Casa Grande, Double Decker, Family Video, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Kroger, Mama Nunz, Martin's Emporium, Mason's Jewelers, McDonald's, Monical's, Papa John's, Peebles, Salon South, Styling Station, Tractor Supply and Wal-Mart.
