Mildred L. Neese, 95, Danville, Ill., formerly of Poland and Cloverdale, passed away on Nov. 10, 2010 at Danville, Ill.

She was born on May 27, 1915 in Clay County and was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie [Mauer] Butterman.

She was married to Dennis Edwin Neese on Nov. 25, 1932, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1982.

She was a homemaker and member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Poland and a Charter Member of the Tri County Club.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Anderson and husband Karl of Danville, Ill.; Charles Neese and wife Marge of Oaklawn, Ill.; her grandchildren, Deborah Zibendon and husband Ray, Kathleen Webb and husband Tim; Edward Neese and wife Anita, Sharie Neese and Brian; nine

great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Ila Beatrice Allen of Greencastle.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Burial will be in the Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale K. Neese; her sisters, Helen Winn, Ruth Craft, Edith E. Biggs, Cleo Stearly and Blanche Girton; and her brother, John Butterman.
