Turkeys for toddlers

Friday, November 19, 2010
Kyle Brentlinger, 4, shows off a construction paper pilgrim hat made by Laura Brentlinger during Toddler Turkey Time Thursday evening at the Putnam County Museum. The event was coordinated by the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department in correlation with the museum with the purpose of providing kid-friendly activities for parents to do with their children during Thanksgiving and the holidays. The evening also included making turkeys from apples, candy and marshmallows; decorating holiday cookies and cake and a reading from "Our First Thanksgiving." Troy Scott with the Parks and Recreation Department estimated around 26 families registered for the event. "Our goal is to do more things with other groups," Scott said. Banner Graphic/AMANDA JUNK
