GREENCASTLE -- St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 520 E. Seminary St., will be celebrating Christmas with four separate services on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Dec. 26.

The early Christmas Eve service begins with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 5 p.m. Friday. This service is planned especially for families with young children, but is appropriate for all ages.

The celebration will begin with the children taking the lead in re-telling the Christmas story by identifying and talking about the Nativity figures that have been placed in the crèche. Afterward, members of the congregation will have the opportunity to come forward to the crèche, where offerings for the Putnam County Food Pantry may be placed.

The traditional Festival Holy Eucharist by candlelight begins at 11 p.m., preceded at 10:30 p.m. by a half-hour concert of Christmas music for voices and instruments.

On Christmas Day, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

On Sunday, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. There will be no 8 a.m. service.

Everyone is invited to join with the people of St. Andrew's in their observance of the Christmas season.
