Clovers win South Vermillion invite

CLINTON -- The Cloverdale wrestling team traveled to South Vermillion Saturday. The Clovers won the eight-team tournament with a total of 204.

Cloverdale had five individual champions on the day. At the 119-weight class, Jeremy Boldman defeated the No. 1 and 2 seeds on his way to winning the individual title. For his performance, he was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.

Also winning were Shawn Shipp (112), Eldin Hesselgrave (130), Donnie Helterbrand (145) and Tyde Frederick (152).

The Clovers will be back in action when they host the West Central Conference match Saturday at 9 a.m.
