Rosetta Cummings - 90th

Rosetta "Rosie" Cummings of Fillmore celebrated her 90th birthday on Jan. 12.

Rosie grew up in Cloverdale Township and graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1939. She ran the Belle Union telephone switchboard in the 1950s. She also dressed turkeys.

She started working at the Putnam County Hospital in 1957. She worked their for 30 years, retiring in 1987.

She also sold Avon products for several years.

Rosie is the oldest of 12 siblings. She is the mother of four children, Mary Edna and Allan of Fillmore and Joan and Michael, who are deceased.

She had five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rosie celebrated her birthday on Jan. 9 with a lunch at her home with family and friends.
