Mr. Rattray was born on June 2, 1931 in San Jose, Calif., to Alexander L. and Eldona C. Rattray. Upon retirement in Greencastle, he devoted his energies to an antiques business and collection.
Mr. Rattray is survived by his children: Debbie McHardy of Santa Maria, Calif; Patricia Rattray of Boise, Idaho; Susan and John Scott of Indianapolis; Ellen Kelso of Cincinnati; and Dan and Deanna Rattray Jr. of China Grove, N.C.; his brother and sister-in-law Alex and Ann Rattray of West Linn, Ore.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
