Credit union supports MHAPC

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

To the Editor:

On Jan. 7 Krista Gordon, a member of the staff at Teacher's Credit Union, presented a check for $390.97 to Eileen Johnson, executive director of Mental Health America of Putnam County.

These funds were raised to assist in the support of the MHAPC Clothe-a-Child fund.

We would like to thank the TCU Management and staff for supporting this cause every year for the past several years, and for raising funds to help children from this community who are in need. The TCU staff members have chosen to give back to the community by adopting this cause during the Christmas Holiday season.

MHAPC would also like to express our gratitude to all of the community members who so generously donated to the fund.

The MHAPC Clothe-a-Child program is not an annual program, but rather, a continuous program throughout the year set up to help children in need.

MHAPC receives referrals from school counselors and other agencies who have identified children that would benefit from the program.

We encourage school counselors to contact us if they know of a child who would qualify for assistance from MHAPC.

We may be reached at 653-3310 or mhapc@cinergymetro.net.
