Phyllis M. Harrison Roach, 70, of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2010 at her home.

She was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed art, crafts, her family and poems. She had been employed at Crawford Industries, Wal-Mart and was a great homemaker.

She was born July 23, 1940 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Eddie Harrison and Gladys Wilson Harrison. She was a 1960 graduate of New Ross High School.

Survivors include two sons, David Roach of Crawfordsville and Danny (Kim) Roach of Russellville; daughter, Donna "Susie" (Brian) Cate of Lafayette; three sisters, Harriet Harrison of Crawfordsville, Mary (Terry) Brown of Ladoga and Linda Bell of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Paul (Wanda) Harrison and Steve (Julie) Harrison, both of Crawfordsville, as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Harold, Bobby, Eddie Jr., Billy and Jack Harrison; and a sister, Florence.

A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Woodland Heights Christian Church with the Rev. Steve Wilke and the Rev. Tony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Linden Cemetery. Visitation hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church.
