Mrs. Mary K. Quinnette, 83, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at the Mill Pond Health campus.

She was born Sept. 28, 1927 in Roachdale, the daughter of Edgar Clay & Sarah S. (Davis) Blaydes. A graduate of Roachdale High School class of 1945, she married Ray E. Quinnette on March 15, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2008.

Mary had worked in housekeeping at the Quad of DePauw University for 33 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Ann Zimmerman of McKenzie, Tenn., Michael (Rebecca) Wayne Quinnette of New Vienna, Ohio., Sandra Jean Foster of Greencastle and Linda Sue (Carl) Sweet of Reelsville; sister-in-law Jacqueline Blaydes of Danville; five grandsons; five granddaughters; 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene; sisters, Elizabeth Fitzsimmons, Alice McFarland, Rebecca Altman and an infant sister; brothers, Kenneth, Eugene, Dick Davis and two infant brothers.

Funeral services will be held at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home 10 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. A.J. Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
