Cloverdale wins conference title

CLOVERDALE -- The middle school West Central Conference meet took place Saturday at Cloverdale. The host Clovers won the event with a total of 310 points. South Putnam was third overall with 251 points, Greencastle was fourth with 230.5 and North Putnam was sixth with 58 points.

Cloverdale had six wrestlers captured individual titles on the day. The winning Clovers were Blake Willis (75), Jacob Boldman (80), Max Secrest (110), Jake Waycott (120), Colton Wilkes (125) and Ethan Boyd (130).

The Tiger Cubs despite placing lower than South Putnam, had one more overall champion than the Eagles. Winning for GMS were Troy Wardlow (70), Mathew Tesmer (135), Brayden White (165) and Mark Coghill (285).

Winning individual titles for the Eagles were Jacob Sanders (90), Clayton Spencer (145) and Joey Masters (220).

In the B-tournament, South Putnam had three winners, while North Putnam and Greencastle had one each.

Winning for South Putnam was Levi Whitaker (90), R.J. Speedy (95) and Dylan Watson (165). Bobby Schale (180) was the North Putnam winner and Jake Mundy (220) was the Greencastle winner.
