Gun show coming to fairgrounds

Saturday, March 26, 2011
This weekend, the Putnam County Fairgrounds will be host to a gun and knife show. Today and tomorrow, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, Putnam County residents can browse through a variety of guns and knives, as well as hunting paraphernalia and other related items. Admission is $5. Jon Clark, front, and Stephen Lucas help set up the display for Have Guns Will Trade out of Brazil, one of the vendors at the show.

  • A good thing indeed, so that families can protect themselves against would-be thieves, child molesters, and the other unsavory characters that permeate Putnam county.

Thank God for the 2nd Amendment!!!

  • Hope they had a good turn out. A little advance advertising or fliers posted around town might have helped. Sorry Benedict it wasn't the guns fault.

  • People killing and attempting to injure one another go all the way back to Cane and Able. And in the caveman era, sticks and stones were all the rage. It's a shame they didn't the good sense to ban sticks and stones after it was obvious they were being used for the dirty deed. Then there were swords, knives, the list of deadly weapons has no end. Everyone knows the bottom line, guns don't kill people, people kill.............. well just look in the mirror.

  • I agree Blindside!! VERY Well Said!!! Sorry I missed it, I went to the one at the Clay County fair Grounds and gave some Local Target vendors out of Brazil my business and will do so again in making me more custom targets. I think this is a great way to support local Vendors and Independent Business People. You don't like, DON'T Attend.
