Sheriff's Department

* April 1, 1:20 a.m.: Richard Sabolick, 50, Waveland, was northbound on U.S. 231 just north of CR 200N in a Toyota Corolla. Sabolick said he became ill due to a diabetic condition and his vehicle veered off the road, striking a guardrail end.

The car rotated off the guardrail in a clockwise direction, coming to rest facing southeast, blocking the northbound lane and part of the southbound lane.

Damage $5,001-$10,000.

* April 3, 12:55 p.m.: Stephen Bridges, 29, Greencastle, was westbound on U.S. 40 just west of U.S. 231 in a 2008 Toyota Corolla. He may have suffered some type of illness that caused him to lose control of the car and cross the median.

Bridges crossed the eastbound lanes and left the road on the south side, hitting a fence and small tree.

A witness said Bridges appeared to be having a seizure when the vehicle came to rest. He was transported to PCH for observation.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

* April 5, 7:58 a.m.: Autumn McCreery, 27, Carbon, was eastbound on U.S. 40 just west of CR 625W in a 1995 Pontiac Firebird.

She was trying to change lanes from the left to the right due to a strong slare from the sun when she went off the road on the south side, coming to rest in a ditch.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

Tammy Lee Jones, 29, Greencastle: Possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, sale of methamphetamine, sale of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, dealing in a schedule drug, possession of paraphernalia, April 6, 2:26 a.m.

Jeffery E. King, 41, Greencastle: Operating while intoxicated, April 6, 1:55 a.m.

Shannon Kathleen Larson, 40, Crawfordsville: Check deception, April 5, 10:45 p.m.

Joe Louis Person, 35, no city listed: Possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, sale of marijuana, sale of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a schedule drug, possession of paraphernalia, April 5, 9:24 p.m.

Douglas Russell Stevenson, 45, Madison, S.D.: Operating while intoxicated, public intoxication, April 6, 12:58 a.m.

City Police

* April 3, 6:45 p.m.: Gregory F. Kidd, 24, Indianapolis, was backing out of a parking space in the lot at 1360 Indianapolis Rd. in a 2008 Chevrolet when he backed into northbound 1996 Chevrolet driven by Jonathon Boswell, 19, Greencastle.

Kidd said he did not see Boswell's vehicle before exiting the space.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.

* April 5, 9:57 a.m.: Iris Chapman, 76, Rockville, was turning onto Shadowlawn Ave. from southbound U.S. 231 in a 2005 Chrysler when she said she was blinded by the sun's glare. She did not see 1999 GMC driven by Richard Smith, 36, Greencastle, waiting at the stop sign on Shadowlawn and turned into the front of it.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

* April 6, 5:02 a.m.: Katherine D. Parker, 24, Crawfordsville, was westbound on Washington St. in a 1996 Volkwagen Jetta when she struck a utility pole on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Parker said she did not remember the accident.

John Frost of Greencastle was stopped on northbound Percy Julian Dr. when he saw Parker's vehicle approach the intersection eastbound in the westbound lane and fail to stop at the sign. As her vehicle continued through the intersection, it struck the pole.

Parker was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and was transported to Putnam County Hospital complaining of chest pain.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

* April 6, 8:15 a.m.: Capt. Mike Hanlon was driving past 801 Shadowlawn when he noticed a Chevrolet Cobalt with a smashed driver's side window. Robert Love, the vehicle's owner, came outside and said he had just bee notified by a bus driver that his vehicle had been damaged.

No rocks were found in the car, but there was a small tree branch under the car door and beside the car that may have caused the damages.

Damages estimated to be less than $750.
