North Putnam, Cloverdale and GHS post wins

MARSHALL -- The North Putnam baseball team exploded on Rockville Thursday, scoring in every inning en route to a 13-5 win over the Warriors.

Tyler Watson was 1-for-3 with a homerun and two RBIs. Brodie Perrine had two RBIs, while Austin Day, Kyler Badten, Blake Knowling and Michael Herrmann had one RBI each.

Perrine went seven innings with five strikeouts on the mound for the Cougars Thursday on the road.

CLOVERDALE

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale baseball team used a big fourth inning to power past Turkey Run 8-4 Thursday.

Helping lead the way for CHS was Ethan Atwood and Jordan Brinkman with two RBIs each. Shawn Shipp, Jordan Hayden and Brian Dale chipped in one RBI each.

GREENCASTLE

GREENCASTLE -- The Greencastle baseball team took a 9-8 decision over South Vermillion in nine innings Thursday.

On the night, Ryan Battin was 3-for-5 with three singles and the game-winning RBI. Andy Bell was 2-or-5 with a homerun and four RBIs, while Tanner Parker was 3-for-5 with a triple and two singles. Keegan Remsburg was 2-for-5 with a triple and a single.

Parker pitched four innings to get the win, with Battin coming taking the mound in relief.
