PLAINFIELD -- Windy weather had a major effect on the scoring of Greencastle and Cloverdale on the course Thursday against Plainfield. Plainfield won with a total of 156, with GHS finishing second with 181 and Cloverdale third with 191.

Brad Haussin led the Tiger Cubs with 40, while Luke Brotherton finished with a 45. Jim Wheeler carded a 46, with Tyler Hopkins adding a 50 and Jonathan Newgent a 66.

The Clovers were led by Chris Arnold with a 42 followed closely by Gary Williams with 44. Sam Jordan shot a 50, with Mike Matthews adding a 55 and Colte Tomlinson a 57.

"Rough day for the Clovers and Tiger Cubs," GHS head coach Steve Paquin said. "High winds made it difficult to keep ball in play and wet conditions made shotmaking very hard."

On Monday, the Tiger Cubs fell to Terre Haute South on a fifth-card tiebreaker in rainy conditions. Both teams shot four card totals of 154, but the Braves earned the win over posting a 41 as opposed to the Tiger Cubs' 43 on their fifth card.

Brotherton led the team with a 37, followed by Wheeler with a 38 and Haussin with a 39. Raymond Stinson shot a 40, Hopkins a 43 and Alec Davis a 46.
