Tiger Cubs win county baseball championship

Members of the 2011 Putnam County champion Greencastle Tiger Cubs include: Dylan Linton, Tanner Parker, Andy Bell, Ryan Pettit, Ryan Battin, Joe Lenihan, Keegan Remsburg, Travis Hoagland, Dustin York, Hunter Mitchell, Landon Miller, Jesse Vermillion, Nataniel Velasquez; and coaches Troy Remsburg, Travis Nicholson, Zac Remsburg, Doug Nally, Phillip Troyer and David Wood.

The Greencastle Tiger Cubs were crowned the Putnam County Baseball Tournament champions following their 18-1 win over South Putnam Saturday evening.

This is the third consecutive Putnam County title the Tiger Cubs have won. GHS made it to the finals with a 7-1 win over North Putnam in the opening game of the tournament. South Putnam defeated Cloverdale 6-1 in game 2.
