Goody goody

Monday, May 23, 2011
The former Peebles store in Greencastle officially reopened as Goody's last Wednesday. Customers lined up waiting to get a look at the store as Chamber of Commerce members, city officials and store associates gathered to cut the ribbon on the store in the Putnam Plaza Shopping Center.

  • I have been pleased with the quality of clothing and other merchandise in the former Peebles, now Goodys store. Their superior quality of clothing in a clean, attractively arranged store, with friendly employees makes this store a great addition to Greencastle!

  • I have bought numerous items at the local Peebles now Goodys. If your smart you can use their coupons and save a ton of money. When gas prices are what they are its worth combining the savings to stay local. Plus 9 times out 10 your eating out when you drive out of town. Can't expect your local community to bring in more options if you don't support the ones we have.

  • I used to get some good deals at the Goody's in Crawfordsville. I agree some of their prices were high, but there were lots of sales worth looking at.

  • All the Goody's stores around Georgia and Virginia have closed down. Good luck keeping this one open.
