Dorothy J. Branneman, 92, Cloverdale, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born on July 24, 1918 at Greencastle and was the daughter of the late Theodore Cortie and Olive Nettie (O'Neal) Harcourt.

She married Wayne R. Branneman on March 27, 1937 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1980. She was a homemaker and bank teller for the First National Bank at Cloverdale. She was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ and the Dine and Chat Club.

She is survived by her son, Daryl W. Branneman and wife Janet, Cloverdale, her grandsons, Brent Branneman and wife Shanda, New Paris, and J. T. Branneman and wife Lauren, Holt, Mich., and her great-grandchildren Trey and Ella Branneman, both of New Paris.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Burkhardt and her brother, Venice Theodore "Ted" Harcourt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Bro. A. J. Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
