Peace Lutheran School graduates three 6th graders

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Peace Lutheran School recently graduated three sixth graders, Craig Helmers, Alina Bemish and Laurie Nichols.

At the final assembly of the year, all three graduates shared some reflections on their time at Peace Lutheran School.

"At Peace Lutheran they try to make what we do fun," Bemish said. "One special thing about Peace is that in the morning we start with a devotion and we end our day with a prayer, which I think is very important. I love Peace Lutheran and I hope everyone else does too. And I hope it will be an experience for everyone that they will never forget as it was for me."

"At this school you get a more personal experience with the teachers, so when you are going through something they are always there. Like when my dad had a heart attack. As soon as I got there the teachers were there to help me and when Mrs. Hoffmann passed away they were always there to talk to," Helmers said. "I hope everyone takes with them what I take away with me. I am looking forward to trying something new at middle school but if I had a choice I would stay here."

"I have learned so much at Peace Lutheran and have gained lots of love," Niechols said. "But next year I will be a seventh grader at South Putnam and a bunch of my friends from my old school in Fillmore will be there. But no other school, not even South Putnam, or Fillmore, or my future college will be as amazing and fun as my experience at Peace Lutheran.
