Plenty of reasons to embrace Farmers Market

To the Editor:

We would hope that the writer of "Turnips turn out to be disappointment," published (as a letter to the editor) June 3, will give the Greencastle Farmers' Market another chance. Her experience is not typical.

We are fortunate to have such dedicated farmers, honey and maple producers, bakers, preserve makers, crafters, plant growers and other vendors on our square each Saturday morning of the season, whatever the weather.

We look forward to the market each year and are grateful for their hard work each time we take home a market basket filled with their locally made products.
