Sheriff's Department

* June 20, 4:57 a.m.: Mary M. Brown, 37, Coatesville, was southbound on SR 75 in a 1997 Mercury when she fell asleep at the wheel. She ran the stop sign at U.S. 40 and crossed both lanes of the divided highway before entering a ditch and striking guidelines to a utility poles.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.

City Police

A seven-year-old Fillmore girl sustained minor injuries in a car-bicycle accident Friday afternoon on Greencastle's west side.

Jackie Rinberger III, 34, Greencastle, was eastbound on Washington Street, approaching Madison Street in a 2002 Kia when he slowed for a child crossing southbound on Madison, Officer Albert Epple reported. As Rinberger resumed driving, a second child reportedly rode into his path and he could not avoid a collision.

Injured was Kennadi Query, who complained of head pain and was transported to Putnam County Hospital by Operation Life ambulance.

Police estimated damage in excess of $1,000 in the 12:48 p.m. accident.

Three arrests were reported Thursday night by GPD officers.

-- At 10:09 p.m., Alexandria Eversole, 26, Greencastle, was arrested at 203 E. Franklin St. on an Owen County warrant for failure to appear in court and violation of probation. She was taken to Putnam County Jail by Officer Matt Huffman.

-- At 11:22 p.m., two people were arrested on domestic battery charges at Northview Apartments off North Arlington Street. Nathan Anthony Hoffman Jr., 23, and Hope McCombs, 29, both of Greencastle, were arrested by Capt. Charles Inman. In addition to the domestic battery charge, McCombs was also charged with neglect of a dependent due to the presence of her three-year-old child during the incident.

June 21, 4:27 p.m.: Alarm at 501 W. Walnut St. Alarm company was working on the alarm. Cleared 4:35 p.m.

June 21, 6:18 p.m.: Alarm at IAC, 750 S. Fillmore Rd. Disregarded 6:24 p.m.

June 21, 6:22 p.m.: Responded to 914 E. Tennessee St. for sparking power lines. Nothing was found, but Duke Energy was called. Cleared 6:35 p.m.

June 22, 1:48 a.m.: Dispatched to 51 Market St., Cloverdale, to cover the Cloverdale Township Fire Station. Cleared 4:26 a.m.

June 22, 2:46 a.m.: Assisted Operation Life at 6 Market St., Cloverdale. Cleared 3:10 a.m.

June 22, 11:36 a.m.: Medical assist at 108 Locust St. Cleared 11:47 a.m.

June 22, 12:54 p.m.: Lines down at 1420 W. CR 250 South. Stood by for Duke until 1:49 p.m.

June 22, 1:24 p.m.: Lift assist at 811 S. Indiana St. Cleared 1:35 p.m.

June 23, 11:34 a.m.: Alarm due to bad detector head at 304 S. Indiana St. Cleared 11:40 a.m.

June 23, 12:46 p.m.: Assisted Operation Life at 800 N. Madison St. Cleared 1 p.m.

June 23, 4:50 a.m.: Helped with road cleanup, removing a hazard at 800 N. Jackson St. Cleared 5:06 a.m.

June 24, 12:49 p.m.: Assisted with pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle at Washington and Madison streets. Cleared 1:03 p.m.

June 24, 3:09 p.m.: Dispatched to Greencastle Middle School, 400 S. Percy Julian Dr. Disregarded 3:10 p.m.
