Donations at Foundation's fair booth give you a chance to win

Saturday, July 23, 2011

By making a donation at the Putnam County Community Foundation's booth during Fair Week, people can receive a chance to win either a hog donated by the Mann Family and White Oak Farms or a pizza party for 25 people donated by Kevin and Jenny Hutcheson and Chicago's Pizza.

"We are so grateful to the Mann family and to Kevin and Jenny Hutcheson for creating this exciting new way to give," said Vicki Timm, president of the Community Foundation. "Each $25 contribution to an endowment provides the donor with one chance to win."

Timm said the drawing will be held after the fair.

"First prize gets their choice of prizes," she said. "You do not have to be present to win, and I plan to call the winners personally to congratulate and thank them."

The Putnam County Community Foundation is a nonprofit public charity established in 1985 to serve donors, award grants and provide leadership, enriching the quality of life and strengthening community in Putnam County.
