Easy Street Band to perform Friday centennial celebration for Owen Community Bank.

SPENCER -- On Friday, Aug. 5, Owen Community Bank (OCB) will celebrate 100 years of serving the area's financial needs with big public event at the Owen County Fairgrounds in Spencer.

The OCB Centennial Celebration, from 6-9 p.m., will feature a free live concert, a cruise-in car show competition, a Kids' Zone, giveaways and more.

"The community has been at the heart of our business since we opened our doors in 1911," President & CEO Kurt Rosenberger said. "We felt that the best way to say thank you was to hold a big celebration and invite everyone who wants to attend."

One highlight will be the live appearance of the Easy Street band, a five-piece modern country band from Bowling Green, Ky., that has been entertaining crowds throughout the Midwest and Southeast since 2007. They won the 2010 Battle of the Band contest at the French Lick Resort.

From 6-8 p.m., vintage car and truck owners are invited to participate in a cruise-in car show with entrants eligible for Crowd Favorite, Farthest Traveled and Oldest Car prizes.

The Kids' Zone will feature free activities for youngsters, including a bounce house, an inflatable slide, face painting and balloon sculptures.

Everyone is invited to have a slice of OCB's 100th birthday cake.

OCB is a community bank with more than $70 million in assets and offices in Cloverdale and Spencer.
