GHS falls to Chargers on the golf course
CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle girls' golf team dropped a close contest to North Montgomery 182-188 on the course Monday on the road.
GHS senior Jessie Bennett led the team with 43, earning her co-medalist honors for the match. Katie Hedge shot a 46, with Kenzie St. Marie close behind with a 47. Liz Johnson shot a 52 and Kourtnee Vickery carded a 73.
"While it was our first loss in a duel match, it was the best we've played this year," head coach Brad Kingma said. "We just came up against a good team on their home course. It was great for Jessie to get her first medalist honor. She's been improving dramatically and for the third time in a row set her best nine hole match score. Kenzie also set her career best and Liz tied hers."
