City Police

A 29-year-old Clov-erdale man is facing six charges after Greencastle City Police were called to the scene of a disturbance early Wednesday on Castlebury Drive.

Arrested by Officer Matt Huffman at the East Side location was Orlando Cyphers III. He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail at 1:45 a.m.

Cyphers is facing charges of battery with bodily injury, disorderly conduct, public intoxication (with a blood-alcohol of .19 percent), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (including Spice) and violation of probation.

Meanwhile, one recent traffic citation was issued by city officers.

At 5:13 p.m. Saturday, Kristi Lewis, 49, Fillmore, was ticketed by Officer Darrel Bunten for an unsafe start at North Jackson and Jacob streets.

Aug. 22, 2:19 p.m.: Detector activation at 414 S. Indiana St. No fire found and alarm was reset. Cleared 2:29 p.m.

Aug. 22, 6:28 p.m.: Alarm at 904 S. College Ave. No fire found. Cleared 7 p.m.

Aug. 22, 9:27 p.m.: Medical assist at 507 E. Hanna St. Cleared 9:45 p.m.

Aug. 23, 9:38 a.m.: Alarm due to ice machine overheating at 403 E. Seminary St. Cleared 10:07 a.m.

Aug. 23, 12:16 p.m.: Alarm at 208 E. Olive St. No fire found. Cleared 12:26 p.m.

Aug. 23, 3:27 p.m.: Carbon monoxide investigation at 608 Howard St. No problem found. Cleared 3:55 p.m.

Aug. 23, 6:28 p.m.: Alarm at 105 W. Hanna St. Disregarded en route 6:32 p.m.

Aug. 24, 9:18 a.m.: Oil spill at 513 Bloomington St. An Operation Life ambulance blew the oil filter off the engine, spilling 4-5 gallons of oil in front of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Assisted with cleanup. Cleared 10:31 a.m.
