SPHS-GHS breast cancer awareness volleyball game on tap tonight

Thursday, October 6, 2011

The annual Greencastle vs. South Putnam Breast Cancer Awareness volleyball game will be played Thursday, Oct. 6 in Greencastle High School's McAnally Center with the JV game starting at 6 p.m.

All breast cancer survivors are invited to attend and will be recognized at the game.

There will be a few activities with prizes awarded in order to raise more funds for the cause.

The GHS volleyball program held a car wash in late summer with all proceeds going to provide free mammograms for Putnam County residents without insurance in the 20-40 age group.

The girls raised $504 for the account through their car wash efforts with Auto Zone providing the location, GHS coach Liz Spencer said.
