The tank keeps traveling

Saturday, October 8, 2011
The massive pressure tank that was parked just off U.S. 40 at U.S. 231 on Thursday continued its journey to Missouri on Friday, taking the highway through Brazil and Terre Haute as it passed into Illinois. The tank, expected to arrive in Missouri some time Friday night, is being delivered by Emmert International, a Texas-based company that specializes in transporting large loads.

  • From the measurements given in the earlier article, they couldn't have used I-70 anyway. The tank wouldn't fit under a standard underpass.
